The Clan

Elizabeth (mum) was a self-taught needle felt artist and lifelong crafter with a passion for lore, myth, legend, nature, animals and the magickal realm of creatures and Fae-folk. Always drawn to the woods, she was that lady who gathered an absurd number of pine-cones and particularly aesthetically pleasing twigs!

Donna (daughter) is an actor and performer with a passion for storytelling and keeping the mischief and magick of childhood wonder and enchantment alive, who spends as much time as possible in nature conversing with the many beasties.  She's the one with leaves in her hair, mud on her leggings, drinking tea and hugging trees.

Elizabeth and husband Norman have always crafted and created individually and together, either on house renovations, dolls houses, decoupage scenery boxes, woodcraft, material and felt-work, but deciding it was time to put aside travel and long days at craft fairs, Elizabeth found herself seeking another outlet for her need to create and make.

 

On a cold Winter's night, going through Donna's photos of a recent trip to the beautiful Scottish Highlands, conversation and imaginings of all the wee critters who live there ensued, and the joint venture of Bracken Glen Collectables was born, an Etsy store created and stories inspired.
