Tales o' Charm
an' Enchantment
Backpacks & Bonnie Views
It's a bonnie day for an adventure
Along the banks o' the whispering brook
But mind yer warm Winter woolies
It's nae Summer, come hither, tak' a look

The felds are frosty, the brae tips white
As the earth hibernates to renew
But dinnae be surprised to find a wee furry bum
On a toadstool, enjoying the view
A Welcome Friend
Sweet wee mouse how bonnie ye are
Dressed in yer warm woodland tones
Gentle, curious, cunning & swift
Nae sure why folk chase ye from their homes
I'll put the kettle on so you and I can sup
A thistle tea while the berry scones warm
Then sit by the hearth as the fire crackles
Sharing stories and waiting out the storm
Healing Woods
Bright blue skies and melting snow
A perfect day for a wander
Cold crisp air, the sounds of scurrying feet
Provides the space tae dream and ponder
Head tae the woods, rivers or braes
And spend time wi wee beasties in their hame
Their playfulness and ancient healing powers o’ the land
Some calm they’ll help ye reclaim
Foraging Fae
Plants and flowers are wonderful friends
With character traits of their own,
Magickal properties and healing powers
Be they wild or garden-grown
From herbs in yer soup or leaves in yer tea
Tae tinctures that mak yer skin bright
Look oot fir the We Folk that gather them up
Their wee faces are a fair bonnie sight
Festive, Frisky Wee Chap
Late Autumn days and the leaves all around
Have turned from green to rusty gold
Morning frost provides a crispy path
Underfoot as the air grows cold

You may catch a glimpse as ye wander through the glen
Of this wee laddie on the go
Leaping between branches and scurrying o'er the ground
Dressed in lovely Festive tones from head to toe
Ye Ever Seen A Brownie?
Kind-hearted wee beasties, who love to help out
Around the house, oan yer land or farm
But only if they decide ye are worthy, mind
A good human, nae one tae dae harm
Wi a wee felt hat, all dressed in brown
Wi splashes o blue or green
Decked in trinkets for running their chores
They’re rarely ones tae be seen
They keep away bad spirits, love tae tidy and clean
For treats o ale and cake in return
And sometimes when ye’r in yer bed fast asleep
They’ll move yer furniture around jist for fun
Curious Otter
There’s a cosy wee den on the grassy banks
O’ the river that runs through the Glen
Where a playful, adventurous and curious Otter
Is enjoying the morning, ye ken
His message is one o’ childlike play
When feeling a wee bit o’ strife
Tae find joy in surrender tae the ebbs and tides
And flow wi the current o’ life
Hard work does pay off and is essential, aye
Tae achieve whit oor hearts desire
But relaxation and play we cannae be without
If happiness we wish tae acquire
Sleepy Wee Beasties
Wee sleepy eyes in the light of dawn
Are slow in welcoming the day
As beds made o nature’s fine furnishings
Are too cosy to leave straight away

Snoozing curled up in a snuggly leaf
Is just the tonic when it’s chilly oot
But the smell o warm, yummy acorn berry crumble
Will get their wee tootsies moving, nae doubt
